About

Greetings! Welcome to The Crepes of Wrath. My name is Sydney. I’m 21 years old and I’ve recently graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in American History. After dating for 5 years, I married my husband on January 2, 2010, after which we honeymooned in Rome and then moved to New York City. I want to share my love for cooking and eating with as many people as possible, so I hope that you will become a frequent guest here at CW.

Cooking was never my thing. I did a little baking in high school, but that was as far as I was willing to go. When I went off to college, this inability of mine became a major problem. I gained a good amount of weight because I was eating junk or going out to eat all the time. I was also spending far too much money for my small college budget on take-out and delivery food. I decided that enough was enough, and I started cooking for myself. It was only small things at first, like spaghetti and Shake-N-Bake, but I loved being in control and creating something with my own two hands; I was never good at art or music, so finding a way to be inventive in some aspect was exciting to me! Now I can spend hours in the kitchen roasting and sauteing and experimenting! Food blogs were my inspiration originally, so I figured I should make one of my own and share my journey through the world of food. I like simple, bold dishes that do not take a culinary degree or three days to prepare. I want everyone to be able to try these recipes, and I only post the ones that I’ve cooked and enjoyed myself. I post healthful, interesting, family-friendly meals made with ingredients that can be found locally and easily; no need for a trip to a million specialty stores here! I hope that you like what you see and continue to come back to see what I’m up to. If you have any comments or questions, please contact me! I love hearing from readers and I’m always eager to improve my site.

Oh my god your story sounds way too familiar!! I can really connect with your story from my own experiences… baked on occasion while in high school, gained 15 lbs in college, and finally found my love for food after getting married 1 year ago. I love your blog! I will start using it as a reference for good recipes.
